provisional driving licence.
You can apply
for a provisional driving licence up to three months before your 17th
birthday. To get one, go to the Post Office and collect
the following application forms:

A
photo licence application D750 form.
Send the
completed forms
to the DVLA at Swansea along with
identification photographs and the required
documents.
